Carsten Wortmann works with global clients in the search for middle and senior level executives in Europe, Asia and the USA, where he has relevant experience. Carsten has more than 25 years of experience in international management consulting. He has worked for companies such as Arthur Andersen, Kienbaum and EY. He also spent some time in China, where he worked as Managing Director for Asia for a German company.

Carsten is co-founder of W&W and was previously managing partner of a consulting company that supports European companies in their production, marketing and sales activities in Asia. This included the role of interim CEO with responsibility for business development. He was also a board member of a NASDAQ listed company.

In the course of his career, Carsten was able to gain comprehensive insights into the field of executive search from both sides of the desk. Before co-founding W&W Global Partners, Carsten was General Manager and Associate Partner of a US-based executive search boutique. In this position he was mainly responsible for the search in Europe, the USA and Asia. Carsten holds a German master’s degree in international business and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in the USA, as well as a certificate in recruiting and talent acquisition from Cornell University.

He is a frequent speaker and panelist at executive search events and has authored several articles that have been published in business magazines. Carsten has a broad network and is a member of several business associations, including the German section of the Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide.
